NASUCA has a small block of rooms reserved at the hotel for a rate of $199 per night plus 13%tax. The cutoff date for hotel registration is October 18th\, but given the small number of rooms we recommend booking as early as possible. \nBelow is the link for hotel registration: It will take you to a NARUC generated reservation option. Our block is though NARUC so you are in the correct place\, for the NASUCA Block. \nNASUCA: https://resweb.passkey.com/Resweb.do?mode=welcome_gi_new&groupID=20126150 \nIf you are unable to stay at the Hilton Orlando Bonnet Creek there are a number of hotel options and we do recommend shopping around. When we checked some sites I saw a cheaper rate at the NARUC hotel then the group rate being offered. So even if you miss the hotel block you can sill stay at the NARUC hotel you would just need to book though another site. Orlando has a ton of hotels many of them with very reasonable rates\, you would just most likely have to rent a car to get from your hotel to the conference. \nIf you visit Orbitz.com http://www.orbitz.com/ click\, search by address\, type in Hilton Orlando Bonnet Creek\, 14100 Bonnet Creek Resort Lane\, Orlando\, FL 32821 it will generate a list of nearby hotels. I would double check the location before booking\, but it at least puts you in the vicinity. \nA good option that is very nearby is the Wyndham Grand Orlando Resort\, located just a half a mile from the NARUC hotel. \nHOTELS FOR NASUCA MEMBERS:\n*If you find a great rate at another hotel close to the Hilton Bonnet Creek please let me know so I can put it up on our website for other members. \nHere are some hotels that other members have reservations booked. \nTwo bedroom condo at Marriott Royal Palms which is six miles from the NARUC hotel. They will have a car in case anyone wants to carpool. The government rate is $194/night ($97 for each person) and you can’t beat the accommodations. For more information\, go to http://www.marriottvacationclub.com/vacation-resorts/marriott-royal-palms/overview.shtml \nState government rate of $101 – ½ mile from the conference hotel. Wyndham Grand Orlando Resort Bonnet Creek –http://www.wyndham.com/common/images/branded/WY/images/45462_b1t.jpg \nSpringhill Suites Marriott Village- $79 per night government Rate \nYou’re invited to… \nCCIF’s 4th Annual Kickoff Forum\nDistributed Generation: Consumer-Focused Options for Policymakers & Regulators\nSaturday\, November 16\, 2013 ? 2:00 – 5:00pm\nOrlando Hilton Bonnet Creek ? Orlando\, FL\nFloridian Ballroom B & C \nThe Critical Consumer Issues Forum (CCIF) invites you to join us in Orlando for our 4th Annual Kickoff Forum\, which will build on the consensus framework and principles on distributed generation (DG) that were developed by CCIF earlier this year (report available at www.CCIForum.com). To dig deeper into the complex topic of DG\, areas of discussion will likely include: \n* Value of a Safe\, Reliable\, and Resilient Grid to Enable DG Options for Consumers \n* DG Market Development and Deployment \n* DG Cost Allocation Approaches and Best Practices \n* Consumer Protections\, Complaint Resolution\, and Education \nThis dialogue will help shape CCIF’s work in summits next spring\, at which commissioners\, consumer advocates\, and electric utility representatives will continue the discussion\, develop options for consideration by policymakers and regulators\, and form consensus where possible. As we begin the effort to build on the CCIF framework on DG and further assist policymakers and other stakeholders in evaluating these challenging issues\, we encourage your participation. \nRegistration. Registration is open at www.CCIForum.com/ccif-events/registration. Please register by November 6th. There is no charge to participate\, but registration with CCIF is required. Please make travel plans accordingly. \nHotel Stipends. EEI is offering a limited number of stipends to participating state commissioners and consumer advocates for a 1-night credit at the Orlando Hilton Bonnet Creek at the NARUC conference rate (or reimbursement for 1 night at an equal or lower rate at another hotel). Please indicate interest in a stipend during registration\, and eligibility will be confirmed soon thereafter. All registrants are responsible for making their own hotel reservations\, including any additional nights to attend the forum. \nFor More Info.
