Policy Process NASUCA’s standing and ad-hoc committees develop the policy positions
that guide the organization’s advocacy activities and other programs.
The Committees meet to discuss and debate policy issues that have a state
and national impact. The standing committees meet via conference call about
every six weeks and also assemble at the annual and mid- year member meetings. The Committees draft NASUCA’s policy resolutions for consideration
by the membership. These resolutions guide the Executive Director when
representing NASUCA members’ concerns before federal policy makers.
Most resolutions are prepared to present at NASUCA’s annual and mid
year membership meetings. The By-Laws also provide a process for membership
consideration of resolutions during the period in between member meetings. |
